Tom Bean also competed, but here in the USA in the National Aeromodeling Championships. He competed in the Pro Am Division 1 category.. He flew his newly completed PT-26 in the Brazilian air force scheme.

He was up against some very stiff competition from seasoned veterans of competition like Mark Radcliff and Steve Petrotto.

He flew very well and finished at a very respectable 5th place. But, even better than that, his signature on the NATS banner will be forever enshrined in the
AMA Museum!

There were ALL KINDS of planes there. From completely scratch-built ones to ARFs to RTF foamies.

Now, the NATS are for everyone, not just pros like Tom!  It doesn't matter what you fly, as long as it is a model of a full-scale airplane.  Also, there were pilots of every ability, as well.  Plus, the camaraderie was really great.  Guys from all sorts of different places becoming friends through their common passion of flying model aircraft.

CONGRATULATIONS Keith and Tom for representing Miami RC so well!
